Some designs don't get planned. They get built — slowly, through repetition, through wearing the thing every day and watching people react to it. The Sold Out Society cigarette logo hat is that kind of design.
It started inside the shop. TJ had an idea for a hat that felt familiar but wasn't anything you'd seen before — a bold graphic, a classic silhouette, something that could stand next to the vintage pieces in the store and hold its own. The cigarette logo concept came from that instinct: take a shape that carries cultural weight, strip it of any specific reference, and make it Sold Out Society's own.
The result is a snapback that people recognize without being able to fully explain why. It carries an energy that's immediately legible to anyone plugged into street culture — bold, confident, slightly irreverent. The kind of hat that reads across demographics. Streetwear heads get it. Hip-hop fans get it. People who have never heard of Sold Out Society see it and want to know what it is.
That's the goal with every custom piece TJ produces out of the Sold Out Society studio. Not to reference something else. Not to ride a trend. To build something original that can stand next to the rarest vintage in the store and feel like it belongs.
Made In-House, From the Ground Up
Every Sold Out Society custom piece is printed and produced in-house. TJ runs the shop, sources the vintage, and handles the custom production — heat press, DTG printing, screen print. It is not outsourced. It is not manufactured in bulk and shipped from overseas. It is made in the same space where the vintage is sourced and sold, by the same person who lives in the culture every single day.
That matters. When you buy a Sold Out Society hat, you are buying something made by someone who understands exactly where it sits in the culture — not someone guessing at what streetwear is supposed to look like.
Available Now
The cigarette logo hat is available in multiple colorways — white, black, cream, and variations — in the Sold Out Society online store. Each run is limited. When a colorway is gone, it is gone.
If you are in downtown Los Angeles, come through the shop at 113 E 11th St and see the full selection in person. If you are anywhere else, the online store ships everywhere.
